Summer Greens Smoothie Bowl
As March is here and the spring draws near, my body starts craving refreshing smoothie bowls like this summer greens bowl. I make this at least a few times a week in the warmer months as a breakfast or mid day snack. It’s packed with greens, healthy fats and hydrating fruits.
I love topping my smoothie bowls with gluten free granola as a source of healthy carbohydrates from oats, with a healthy fat such as almond butter and nutrient dense superfood additions like bee pollen.
Ingredients
1 frozen banana
1/2 cup frozen mango or pineapple
1/2 cup frozen cherries
1 cup frozen spinach
1 tbsp raw spirulina powder
1 tbs chia seeds
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup coconut water
Directions
-Blend all ingredients in a blender or food processor and pour into a bowl. Top with fruit, nuts & seeds of choice.
