Mint & Rose Matcha Latte
As you probably know by now, I am a big matcha enthusiast. The caffeine from matcha is the perfect amount for my mind and body, and the way the caffeine in matcha is released into the blood stream is very different from that in coffee. As some one who has struggled with anxiety, switching coffee for matcha has made a big difference in my life.
Adding Mint & Rose provides a refreshing touch to this latte, as well as aids your body in better digestion, as mint is soothing on the muscles of the stomach. Rose petals are a soothing herb as well, which can promote a calming and relaxing effect on the mind and body.
Ingredients
1 cup almond milk
1 packet high quality matcha powder
1 tbsp honey
Few mint leaves
1 tsp rose petals
Directions
In a milk frother, add your almond milk and let froth.
In a matcha bowl, add your matcha powder and just between warm and boiling water.
Add honey, and mint leaves.
Whisk to combine, stirring until smooth.
Let sit for thirty seconds.
Pour into a mug, and do your best to remove mint leave remainders.
Pour your frothed milk over and stir to combine.
